Alabama Crimson Tide 2016 Football Preview
In 2015, Alabama Crimson Tide football won its fourth National Championship Title in seven years, beating the Clemson Tigers 45-40. 2015 marked the 9th year for the Crimson Tide under Head Coach Nick Saban who, once again, led the Tide to the postseason. They faced the Florida Gators in the 2015 SEC Championship Game winning 29-15 and the Michigan State Spartans at the 2015 Goodyear Cotton Bowl winning 38-0. Alabama ranked 1st in the SEC once again on National Signing Day according to ESPN and 247sports.com, securing 25 commits with 16 ESPN 300, including No. 1 ranked inside linebacker Ben Davis and offensive tackle Charles Baldwin. In the upcoming 2016 season, Alabama will lose a lot of its key players to the NFL draft and the quarterback position is up for grabs by several individuals. We’re sure the Crimson Tide will be recruiting the best in 2016 and will continue to strive for national championships in coming years.
Alabama Crimson Tide will host their annual A-Day spring football game on April 16th. The Crimson Tide's 2016 football season begins on September 3rd in the Cowboys Classic against the USC Trojans at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. They will then play the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at home in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Throughout the 2016 season, the Crimson Tide will host the Kent State Golden Flashes, Kentucky Wildcats, Texas A&M Aggies, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Chattanooga Mocs, and rival Auburn Tigers at home in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Alabama Crimson Tide road schedule will include trips to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to face the Ole Miss Rebels, D.W.R. Razorback Stadium against the Arkansas Razorbacks, Neyland Stadium against the Tennessee Volunteers, and Tiger Stadium to face SEC West rival LSU Tigers. We expect Alabama to be a strong contender for the SEC West Division Title again in 2016. The Crimson Tide is loaded with some of the best talent in the nation and one of the best, if not the best, coaching staff in all of college football.
